In this edition, we’ll tell you about our client Love from Iylah. They’re an online baby and children’s e-commerce clothing store established in 2016 that started out as a family business. All of the clothing they sell is curated from reliable suppliers using high quality materials appropriate for children, as well as following current trends.
The Challenge
Love from Iylah was one of many businesses impacted by constant delays and supplier issues caused by COVID-19. Since then, the shopping landscape has changed immensely, with the focus shifting from brick and mortar stores to eCommerce. However, in an ocean of online competition not every eCommerce business can thrive, especially without a proper online presence. And if you want success online, it can only be achieved with tactful strategy.

Our Approach
Some of the ways in which we planned and executed effective search engine optimisation for our client’s eCommerce website included:
- Category page optimisation: we indexed the website’s category pages and ensures all metadata was optimised for search engines. This type of specific strategy can boost SEO results significantly.
- Off-site optimisation: we added extra optimisational elements by backlinking placement via guest blogging to expand the limits of SEO beyond the website.
- On-site blogging: we enhanced the brand’s image and added value through on-site creative content such as blogs. These offered further opportunities to utilise SEO and linking to increase online presence.
- Keyword targeting: we aimed at ranking specific, long-tail keywords that were in line with the products offered, which would also target potential customers specifically.
- Local targeting: as the business primarily focused on local sales, we ensured local SEO best practices were implemented to ensure exposure across Australia.

The Results
Implementation of all of the above activities led to significant results in merely a matter of three months. This included:
- Traffic growth: through our targeted strategies focused on local audiences, we saw 154.4% in organic traffic and 148% increase in the number of users. Not only that, those visiting the website stayed longer than they had been previously. Proof that targeted SEO and content leads the target audience to your digital doorstep.
- SEO ranking growth: the client saw a vast increase in their rankings for business-related keywords. This showcased the effectiveness of the chosen SEO terminology, as it was leading to direct visible results.
